Bud Mark | Activity & Programme setup

To use Bud Mark in Bud, you will need to link your Bud activities to a Bud Mark Rubric. This can easily be done within the activity library, or activities added manually to a programme.

User Roles

In Bud, Programme Administrators or Programme Managers can edit Activity Library activities and Programmes.

How to: Link Activities to Bud Mark

When Bud Mark is enabled, every activity administration page in Bud will show a new field, ‘Rubric’. This field is where you map the activity to a specific Rubric, and once mapped, users will be able to submit work against that Rubric.

This can be done via the activity library, or when adding manual activities into a Programme.

Activity Library

To add a Rubric to an Activity Library activity, follow the below steps:

 1. Click in to Programmes primary navigation.

 2. Click ‘Activity Library’

 3. Create an Activity

 4. You will see the new ‘Rubric’ field, as below:

 5. Select the Rubric, you want to map the activity to

 6. Save and publish the activity as usual.

 7. Add that Activity to the relevant programme, via the ‘Add via Activity Library’.

Please note, your Rubric in Bud Mark must be in a published state in Bud Mark.

Manual Activities

When creating a Programme, if you do not create activities from the library, you can manually add an activity and link it to a Bud Mark rubric.

 1. Click in to Programmes primary navigation.

 2. Click Programmes

 3. Locate the programme you want to add the activity to

 4. Go to the Activities tab

 5. Click Edit Programme

 6. Click ‘Add via Manual entry’

 7. Enter the Activity name, and then select the Rubric from the dropdown

 8. Complete the rest of the form and save it.

Activity Propagation

Once you have your activity with a Rubric linked, and you have added it to a programme, once you save and publish the programme, it will propagate to learners, following the existing propagation rules.
