Release 4.50 - 21st February

Group Learning

A new Learner Management Activity permission has been added alongside our existing user roles. When activated the user will be able to utilise the group learning functionality including:

  • Creating groups
  • Undertaking group bulk actions - add, exempt, and set activities

The learners the user will be able to access is based on their existing user role. For example, General Admin can view all learners, and with this permission, will be able to use the group functionality against all of those learners.

In addition to be able to preform these action on a group the user with permission will also be able to do this on individual learning plans

Other Skills and Training

In this release, we have added more functionality to the initial ILR automation for AEB programmes. These are the final essential elements of this feature, although we will continue to add enhancements to functionality when we feel it will benefit our customers. In this release we have added the following:

  • If “National AEB contract” is selected as the answer to the enrolment question “How will the applicant be funded” then the Source of Funding (SOF) field in the ILR will be populated as 105 – Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) - Adult)
  • If “Devolved Region” is selected as the answer to the enrolment question “How will the applicant be funded” then the Source of Funding (SOF) field in the ILR will be populated with the value that corresponds to the devolved region selected (See example below):

  • The response to the applicant background question selected during enrolment will now populate the Funding and Monitoring section of the ILR with the appropriate “HHS - Household Situation” learner funding and monitoring type and code. (See example below):

  • If “Fully funded” is selected as the answer to the enrolment question “Will the applicant be fully funded or co-funded” then the “FFI - Full or co-funding indicator type” will be added to the funding and monitoring section of the ILR and the corresponding code set to “1 - Fully funded learning aim”. (See example below):

Bug Fixes

For bootcamp enrolments, we have fixed a minor bug where additional employment status monitoring types may have been added when selecting certain combinations of employment status.

Employer Contact Reports Permission

Following feedback, we have updated which user roles are able to provide Employer Contacts with Reporting Permissions.

We have removed the access from Trainers and Operations Managers, meaning now that only Sales, General Admin and Employer Admins can add or remove the reporting permission.

All users will still be able to see if the permission has been granted.

Standard Reports - New Off the Job hours Report

Following on from the release of the OTJHs on an activity we have created a new report which allows you to view all Off the job hours associated with a leaner across multiple activities.

The report includes

  • Hours added at submission
  • Individual logs:  the table includes logs that are pending, approved or rejected.

The count of approved hours is the approved logs and the activity submission combined.

New Data Warehouse Item

In this release, we have added a new view called Presentation.[Functional Skills]

This combines existing data with the Reg and Cert, Aims and Component Progress views to produce a functional skills report. There is one row per functional skill with a status of Exempt, Complete or the % through the aim. Once all of the criteria are complete they will sit at 100% until the IQA has confirmed the learning outcomes, then it will change to Complete.
