Bud Assist for Learners is an AI-powered assistant built directly into the Bud platform. It is specifically designed to assist you by providing quick and accurate answers even when your tutor isn’t available.
It has knowledge of your programme, learning activities, progress and criteria you’re working towards, providing personalised support throughout your learning journey.
Whilst Bud Assist for Learners can support you by providing guidance, explanations and helpful resources, it cannot complete your work for you or generate assessment answers. For more information on what Bud Assist for Learners will and won’t do, read this article here.

How to access Bud Assist for Learners
If Bud Assist for Learners has been enabled for your programme, you will see the Bud Assist for Learners logo in the top right corner of your screen.
- Log in to your Bud account
- Select your Learning Plan

Head over to the top right corner of your screen until you see the Bud Assist for Learners logo.
- Read and confirm the T&Cs, which contain important information about how your conversations are stored and who can access them.
- Enter your question in the ‘Ask Me Anything’ box. For tips on structuring your prompts and getting the best responses, see our guide below.
- Bud Assist for Learners will provide an instant response. From there, you can continue the conversation, ask follow-up questions, download your chat history, delete your conversation, start a new chat and rate the answer the chatbot gave you.
