Inclusion and Support
The below features and enhancements have been made as part of our ongoing Inclusion and Support feature work.
Wellbeing Review
A new Wellbeing Review type gives learners a safe, self-serve space to answer questions about their own wellbeing, with no employer visibility or involvement. This supports earlier identification of potential wellbeing or safeguarding concerns and lets trainers track changes in a learner's wellbeing across a programme to spot trends over time.
Find out about the wellbeing review here.
Review scheduling and signing enhancements
You can now assign the correct Training Provider Owner to a review, choosing from the learner's primary trainer, any additional trainer, or yourself. This means reviews are owned by whoever is genuinely running them, not just defaulted to one person.
Signatures have also been corrected to show the person who actually signed the review, rather than always showing the primary trainer. This keeps the audit trail accurate and reflects real accountability.
Track and act on learner wellbeing concerns with a new Concerns Log
A new Concerns Log is available on the Wellbeing page, giving your teams a structured way to record, act on and evidence any concerns about a learner's wellbeing. You can log a concern with severity and details, build an action plan, and close it off once no further action is needed. This gives you a clear, timestamped record to evidence how learners are supported through barriers and guided towards successful outcomes.
Who it's for: Users with the Trainer role can manage concerns for learners they have primary or secondary access to. A new Inclusion Administrator role can also manage and view concerns for learners they have access to.
See here for more information on the Concerns Log
Inclusion & Support in enrolment
A number of inclusion related questions have been added to the Training Provider view of the enrolment process. These have been added to the Learning Style Assessment page (now renamed to Learning Preferences) and the Support & Access Requirements page.
For details of the questions added, please see this article.
In the next release, further questions will be added to the Additional Personal Details page.
Manage Changes Workflow
Manage Changes – Edit Aim
You can now record a change to a learner's aim in one guided workflow from the learner's Manage changes page, covering aim exemption, planned start and end dates, delivery owner, unit exemptions and additional units. Every change is reviewed before you submit it, applied to the learner's record, their ILR record and their Training Plan, and kept in Change history with the reason, the date and who submitted it. Visit the knowledgebase article to find out more.
Aim dates, delivery owners and exemptions are now edited through the Edit aim workflow rather than by editing the learner's records directly, and recording a change needs the aim editing permission, held by Compliance Admin and ILR Admin users. You can also add optional units that were not specified when the programme was built, and exempt or reinstate units on an aim already in delivery.

Bud Assist
Bud Assist for Learners – Chat Logs
We're pleased to introduce Bud Assist logs; a new area of Bud that lets Trainers and Operations Managers review how their learners are engaging with Bud Assist. This includes a filterable list of learner activity, session-level detail, and the ability to download conversation transcripts, helping you monitor engagement and keep on top of any safeguarding concerns raised through Bud Assist.
Overview
Bud Assist logs give training providers visibility into learner conversations with the Bud Assist AI chatbot. From a single, filterable learner list you can see how active each learner has been, drill into their individual sessions, and download full transcripts where needed.
Key Benefits:
- Oversight: See immediately which learners are using Bud Assist, how often, and whether any sessions have raised safeguarding concerns.
- Drill-down detail: Move from a learner's overall activity into individual sessions, filtered by safeguarding category.
- Transcript access: Download a single session or a full learner’s set of available transcripts for closer review or record-keeping.
Bud Assist - Enhance Trainer Feedback
AI-Enhanced Feedback is here! Trainers can now improve the feedback they give on learner submissions with our new Enhance feedback AI tool. Turn your existing feedback into clear, constructive, and motivating feedback in seconds, helping learners understand exactly what they did well and where to improve next.
Give learners feedback that really lands. Our new AI tool helps trainers enhance their comments instantly, clearer, more constructive, more motivating.
Bud Assist for Providers
The AI tool for Providers can now access Gov websites, to give additional context on OFSTED requirements.
This means the AI tool can now answer and advise on OFSTED related questions.
Other enhancements
Activity exemptions in enrolment
We have updated the activity exemption process in enrolment. The main change is that when exempting an activity you will need to select a reason of either:
- Achieved with prior learning (RPL)
- Activity not relevant
These options are the same options when exempting activities in the learning plan.
We are also working on an update to the OTJH summary at the bottom of the activities page in enrolment. This will provide a more accurate breakdown of hours exempted & reduced due to RPL.
Bug Fixes
In this release we have addressed the following bugs;
- Large programmes We have implemented a change to help prevent the occasional failure of large programmes. We have now split the activity data from the rest of the programme data, ensuring that you don’t hit the limit for programmes. There is no impact to how you build activities or programmes.
- Flexible Enrolment Questions Questions were not showing when the application was created via API.
- CENTURY results not displayed on the Application Summary document A niche scenario where sometimes the CENTURY initial assessment results were not displayed on the Application Summary document.

ILR Compliance Report
In this release we have multiple adjustments to ILR Compliance reports going out following the latest release of the ILR Validation rules from the DfE
- Deprecated rules across both years - The following Rules have been removed from the ILR Validation rules list for both years; DateOfBirth_38, AFinDate_04, AFinDate_03 & AchDate_11
- Deprecated rules for 26/27 only - All deprecated PHours and OTJACTHours have been removed for the 26/27 ILRs
- 6 new HRSAmount Rules have been added following DfE specification for 26/27 ILRs only
- 14 new HRSType Rules have been added following DfE specification for 26/27 ILRs only
Standard Reports
You will now be able to see – Standard Version and Standard Version Last Updated fields in the In-Flight Learners page of standard reports.
Bug Fixes
In this release we have addressed the following bugs;
- Functional Skills Reporting showing Qualifications as 'Outstanding' A niche scenario when the Registration & Certification of an aim had not been fully completed, some Functional Skills aims were showing as Outstanding when they were Ready to Claim.
Unable to delete QAR Files We have resolved issues where some customers were unable to delete QAR Files.
Removal of 26/27 incorrect data from ILR Reconciliation planned hours report Due to the new ILR Node for Hours, the Planned hours report in ILR Reconciliation has been incorrectly flagging 26/27 learners as mis-matching between the Learning Plan and the ILR. We have implemented a temporary change to stop the rule for 26/27 ILRs in order to preserve your essential R14 processes. Reconciliation continues to run for 25/26 ILRs up to hard close. Moving to the new node now would have taken your 25/26 learners out of view at exactly the point you need them for R14, so we've prioritised keeping that visible while the deadline stands. 26/27 reconciliation will return after hard close.
Data Warehouse fields
Century Data
This release adds a new view, Presentation.[Skills Assessment Links], currently containing data from CENTURY integrations. Data from BKSB integrations will remain in Presentation.BKSB for now.
You will also be able to identify the Initial Assessment Provider in Presentation.Programme
Reviews
Wellbeing review types will pull into Presentation.[Progress Review] with all normal review data and review type of "Wellbeing Review"
(Note; this review type will appear as "Other Review" in the Employer reports to protect instances in which a learner does not want to disclose concerns with their Employer.)
Review Trainer Name is now included in Presentation.[Progress Review] to help differentiate between Primary Trainer and the Trainer who attended the Review where these may be different.
