Qualification Achievement Rates (QAR)

Our new QAR suite is finalised, and will be released along with our Business intelligence release on 10th June 2024 at 16:30.

Bud’s QAR Reports provide a series of indicative visualisations and data access built from the published technical specifications and rules provided by the ESFA to assist training providers in the monitoring, reconciliation and analysis of your QAR alongside ESFA official releases. Alongside this release, a new upload portal will be made available to upload historic ILR files in support of the report.

In this release, the following items will be made available;

  • Upload and store ILR Returns.
  • Access to Brand new interactive reports: This includes current and previous year QAR values and supplementary reports for common reconciliations and queries
  • Exports a CSV QAR Report: to support customer analysis and reconciliations to ESFA data

Activity Library in Learning Plan

We have extended our Activity Library offering, so that trainers can add activities from your Library directly into a Learners Plan, rather than having to create them manually.

For more information, please see this article.

Content Insights

We have added the ability for learners to provide a rating & feedback on learning activities. They can provide a positive thumbs up or negative thumbs down rating on each activity in the learning plan, if it has been set. There’s also an optional free text box for learners to provide supporting comments.

In a future release, a report will follow so you can report on the feedback provided by learners.

Business Intelligence - 10th June 2024 at 16:30

Please note your reports may be blank for a brief time afterwards.

ILR Reconciliation

The ILR Reconciliation reports have been given a visual boost to bring the design in line with the rest of the report suite. No content has been changed in the reports and all functionality remains with the added value of a cleaner, more user-friendly design accommodating easier navigation, filtering and understanding of the report content.

Standard Reports

Activity Library (AL) "Last modified By" field has been added to the Programme Management Activities tab in standard reports.

Data Warehouse Fields

In this release we have added the following columns to the data warehouse

Table Name Column Name Description Data Type Length of Column
Apprentice Preferred Gender Learner's preferred gender as they have specified on their Bud account nvarchar 100
Apprentice Preferred Pronouns Learner's preferred pronouns as they have specified on their Bud account nvarchar 100
Learning Plan Current ALS Plan Start Date Current ALS Plan Start Date date
Programme Activities Last Updated By User who last updated the activity (A/L activities only) varchar 100

Change to Presentation.[ALS Plan]

The [ALS Currently Provided] field will now be correctly populated if there is an end date in the future. It will only be set a maximum of once per learning plan.

The same logic is used for Presentation.[Learning Plan]

Deprecated Table

As mentioned in our previous release notes. We are planning to remove the view Presentation.[Learning Outcomes] from the data warehouse in a future release. For more information and guidance for report developers or ETL customers, please refer to the original notice here
