Questions
Q. Will it be possible to record and update assessment outcomes via the API suite?
Our main focus of this work will be to introduce the concept of assessments in Bud for them to be manually recorded. However, we recognise many of you will be using 3rd party tools for assessments and so we will consider API connectivity when working on this feature.
Q. Will the Century learning progress be integrated in to Bud?
At this point, we have not started discovery on the Century integration, and need to understand the full capabilities of their APIs before we can confidently answer this. Our priority will be integrating at enrolment for Initial Assessments, but if there is scope to include other parts of the learning journey we will consider these throughout discovery.
Q. Are their plans (a) to develop the application process to capture wider perception of disadvantage including those described within the Ofsted FES toolkit and (b) return to this process during the course should issues emerge?
We are currently reviewing changes that may be required for the new Ofsted requirements. We are likely to include additional application questions to cover inclusion requirements.
Q. Will you be automating any more of the existing manual processes?
In our Flexible Learning theme, we plan to automate the workflows to add, edit or remove aims from Learners in progress, which includes automating the ILR and document updates. We will also be linking that process into workflows to manage changing content within the Learning Plan. Beyond that, we desire to automate all workflows to streamline your delivery even further.
Q. Are there any plans to update the bootcamp functionality?
We are not planning any updates specifically for bootcamps, but all developments this year will be funding model agnostic and so any Bootcamp provision will benefit from the changes.
Q. What is Buds approach to managing scope creep during product development?
We manage the scope through a combination of things, both in discovery and throughout the development.
We work with customers to set clear priorities, then we work in defined delivery cycles, and reviewing deliverables and requests against our product strategy and scope before committing to them. This allows us to stay flexible without compromising delivery quality or timelines.
Q. Do you have plans to update the quality/sampling features?
This is not currently on our published roadmap. However, we are aware that changes to the assessment methodologies may make this a bigger requirement. We will continue to monitor the assessment reforms for more information.
