Programme Configuration - Enabling CENTURY at programme design

Introduction

This article will explain how to enable CENTURY Initial Assessments (IA) for Bud programmes.

Please note that you must have first set-up the integration before adding CENTURY to your programmes. More information on that can be found in this article.

How to: enable CENTURY initial assessments

Navigate to an Apprenticeship programme in 'Draft' state to add CENTURY IAs. Then navigate to the 'Initial assessment' section of the 'Functional Skills' tab and follow these steps:

  • First you will be asked if intial assessments are required for this programme > select 'Yes'
  • Select 'CENTURY' as your IA provider
  • Select the subjects you wish to enable for the programe
  • Save the tab
  • Go through the usual process to request approval and publish a programme

Please note the following:

  • The provider options you see are based on your tenancy settings. If you have both BKSB and CENTURY enabled for your tenancy, then you will see both options. However, if you only have one provider enabled for your tenancy, then you will not see the other option.
  • If you have both BKSB and CENTURY enabled in your tenancy, you will only be able to select one IA provider for each programme.
  • Once CENTURY is enabled, it will not be possible to enrol a learner on to a programme if the learner has not completed their Initial Assessments.

How to: Edit IAs for Apprenticeship programmes

It is possible to edit your IA selection for published Apprenticeship programmes.

  • Put the Apprenticeship programme into 'Edit'
  • Update your selection on the 'Functional Skills' tab
  • Save the tab
  • Follow the usual process to request approval and re-publish the programme

Please note the following:

  • The changes to IAs will only be effective from the time the programme is re-published.
  • If you have changed the IA selection at a time when in-progress applications are using that programme, the update will not automatically apply to those applications. Only new applications created after the programme has been re-published will receive the updated IAs.
