Accountability Framework

 

Introduction

The Bud Accountability Framework is a suite of reports created in line with the ESFA Accountability Framework and is available to Bud's Premium customers.

The reports are based on your ILR for the current academic year and refresh each night.

Note: This report is being updated in line with the ESFA's June 2024 update and an updated version will be released in June 2024. The content of this article is being updated to reflect these changes and may be out of sync with the version of the report currently available to you in the Bud platform.

Our calculations are based on Funding Model 36 only and on the most recent ZPROG001 for each learning delivery. The total of these is displayed as the Number of Apprenticeships on each report.

For the Quality and Supplementary Indicators, we show if you are On Track, Need Improvement or At Risk based on the thresholds found in the ESFA guidelines. You can click through from the dashboard to see a detailed report for each of the Indicators. 

The reports show cards which group apprenticeships based on the metrics the indicators are measuring so you can see how you are performing.

The reports can be filtered using the slicers at the top of the page. Where there is a category slicer, this is specific to the report being shown; usually allowing you to filter to show just the learners in one specific card. The Learner's name is a link to their Learning Plan in Bud.

The definitions below refer to the CompStatus field in the ILR. This field tells you the status of the learning plan.

Quality Indicators

Achievement and Retention Rate

Explore your learners who have completed their apprenticeship, this includes learners who have achieved, partially achieved, or not achieved their apprenticeship. This will not replicate the QAR produced by the ESFA

Passed Planned End Date includes both in progress and completed learners. For in progress learners we calculate the date from the planned end of the practical period to today. For completed learners, we look at the difference between the planned end of the practical period and the actual end of the learning date.

Explore your learners, who are in progress, where an End Point Assessment Organisation is not recorded in the ILR. All learners without an EPAO are listed, these have also been categorised based on how close they are to their planned end of practical period. Once the learner record is updated with the EPAO, the learner will be removed from the list the following day.
