Introduction
The Bud Accountability Framework is a suite of reports created in line with the DfE Accountability Framework and is available to Bud's Premium customers.
The reports are based on your ILR for the current academic year and refresh each night.
Our calculations are based on Funding Model 36 only and on the most recent ZPROG001 for each learning delivery. The total of these is displayed as the Number of Apprenticeships on each report.
For the Quality Indicators, we show if you are On Track, Need Improvement or At Risk based on the thresholds found in the DfE guidelines. You can click through from the dashboard to see a detailed report for each of the Indicators.
The reports show cards which group apprenticeships based on the metrics the indicators are measuring so you can see how you are performing.
The reports can be filtered using the slicers at the top of the page. Where there is a category slicer, this is specific to the report being shown; usually allowing you to filter to show just the learners in one specific card. The Learner's name is a link to their Learning Plan in Bud.
The definitions below refer to the CompStatus field in the ILR. This field tells you the status of the learning plan.
| CompStatus | Value |
| 1 | In Progress |
| 2 | Completed |
| 3 | Withdrawn |
| 6 | On Break |
Quality Indicators
Achievement and Retention Rate
Explore your learners who have completed their apprenticeship, this includes learners who have achieved, partially achieved, or not achieved their apprenticeship. This will not replicate the QAR produced by the DfE.
Cards:
| Number of Ended Apprenticeships | Number of apprenticeships where CompStatus is 2 or 3 Expressed as a % of the total number of apprenticeships. |
| Total Achievers | Number of apprenticeships where CompStatus is 2 Expressed as a % of the number of ended apprenticeships. |
| Retention | Number of apprenticeships where CompStatus is 2 Expressed as a % of the number of ended apprenticeships. |
The table shows the ended apprenticeships.
Achievement Rate
Total Achievers / Number of Ended Apprenticeships
Achievement Rate Status
| Achievement Rate >= 60% | On Track |
| Achievement Rate >= 50% | Needs Improvement |
| Achievement Rate < 50% | At Risk |
Retention Rate
Retention / Number of Ended Apprenticeships
Retention Rate Status
| Retention Rate >= 62% | On Track |
| Retention Rate >= 52% | Needs Improvement |
| Retention Rate < 52% | At Risk |
Withdrawal Rate
Explore your learners who have withdrawn in the current academic year. This will not replicate the QAR produced by the DfE.
Cards:
| Total Withdrawn | Number of apprenticeships where CompStatus is 3 Expressed as a % of the total number of apprenticeships. |
| Early Withdrawals | Number of apprenticeships where CompStatus is 3 Expressed as a % of the total number of apprenticeships. |
| Withdrawn after qualifying period | Number of apprenticeships where CompStatus is 3 Expressed as a % of the total number of apprenticeships. |
The table shows the withdrawn apprenticeships.
Withdrawal Rate
Withdrawn after qualifying period / Total number of apprenticeships
Withdrawal Rate Status
| Withdrawal Rate <= 15% | On Track |
| Withdrawal Rate <= 20% | Needs Improvement |
| Withdrawal Rate > 20% | At Risk |
Past Planned End Date
Past Planned End Date is focused on in-progress learners who are past their planned end of practical period.
Cards:
| Total past planned end date | Number of apprenticeships where CompStatus is 1 Expressed as a % of the total number of apprenticeships. |
| Total past planned end date and are in EPA | Number of apprenticeships where CompStatus is 1 Expressed as a % of the total number of apprenticeships. |
The table shows apprenticeships that are past their planned end date.
Learners Past Planned End Date Status
| [Number past planned end date] >= 15% | At Risk |
| [Number past planned end date] >= 10% | Needs Improvement |
| [Number past planned end date] < 10% | On Track |
