EPA Outcome - Failed

Introduction

When a learner takes their EPA but does not pass, they will be offered the opportunity to resit or retake their assessment. They may also decide to not continue at all.  This article will take you through how to manage this process in Bud.

Definitions

  • Retake - the Learner will take the end-point assessment again, after further training.
  • Resit - the Learner will take a mandatory qualification or the end-point assessment again, without any extra learning.
  • Complete without achievement - the Learner has decided they do not with to continue with the Assessment.

User Roles

  • IQA
  • General Administrator

How To: Mark a Learner as failed

The process within Bud is very straight to mark a Learner as  having failed their EPA.

  1. Navigate to the Learners End-point Assessment page.

2. Select 'No' to the question "Has the learner passed End-point Assessment?"

3. In the popup, you can enter the date and select what the learner is doing next. See the description of what each option will change in the table below.

4. Once input, the user will be asked to confirm their selection and save the record.
