Introduction
This article explains how to exempt an activity from within the learning plan. You’ll learn how to navigate to the relevant learner, select the activity, and mark it as exempt. This process ensures that exempted activities are removed from the learner’s progression statistics and Off-the-Job Hours calculations.

How to: Exempt an Activity
Once you have navigated to the relevant learner you can exempt activities by completing the following steps outlined in the video below:
Once the activity has been exempted a record of the exemption is present on the activity and the status of the activity will update to exempt.
Please note:
- Trainers can only exempt activities from learners that are assigned to them.
- Once an activity has a submission that has been marked as 'Fully Complete', it will no longer be possible to exempt the activity.
- Once an activity has been exempted it will be removed from the learner's progression statistics meaning the course progression and Off the Job Hours will only take into consideration non-exempted activities. Please note that exempted activities can not be undone.
